The Wing-Hamlin Company was founded in 1988 by Terry Wing. Originally it was known as the W.E. Wing Company. Terry’s vision was to service the Midwest marketplace calling on both Original Equipment Manufacturers and Distributors. In 1990 Mike Hamlin joined Terry Wing to expand coverage. In 1992 Mike and Terry became equal partners and formed Wing-Hamlin Company. Together over the next 22 years they serviced 8 Midwestern states travelling extensively during that time. Business developed and the natural progression was to add additional Sales Representatives. Today the Wing-Hamlin group of sales professionals services 9 Midwestern States. In 2017 Terry's son, Cory, became a full partner in the company.
Wing-Hamlin’s formula for success is to hire motivated sales people who are disciplined and have the capability to productively manage their territories. All of the Sales Representatives have extensive fastener experience and in many cases had worked in Purchasing. Our product knowledge and appreciation for the difficulties faced on a daily basis by Procurement Specialists assist in our ability to develop opportunities.
The Companies represented by Wing-Hamlin are a combination of Domestic Manufacturers and Master Distributors. All the Companies have a reputation for the highest levels of quality and service. In every case they have in house quality systems. In addition, where applicable, chemical and physical certs and complete traceability are available on all products sold by the Wing-Hamlin group. This level of traceability and in house quality systems provide a seamless transaction between Wing-Hamlin vendors and their customers.
